The moment I heard the shloka spoken by the great Avatar, the child prodigy — His Holiness Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya — “Shivoham”, I fell so deeply in love with it! Listening it for the first time moved something within me profoundly. The power of those words, affirming the eternal truth of our own divine essence, touched my soul deeply and I tried to memorize it and even tested myself by reciting it without looking at the lyrics. Perhaps I peeked when I got stuck — as the pauses reveal — but even those moments felt sacred — reminders of my humble effort to align with the vibration of Shiva consciousness..
Although I may not remember this shloka by heart today, here is the Sadhguru version of “Shivoham” that I fell in love with instantaneously — it continues to awaken the same blissful stillness within, reminding me of the truth that I am That, I am Shiva.
