My Ideal !!!

To describe a ‘Woman’ is very complex. Most women lie in the spectrum of commoners with common characters and outlook. It is difficult to find a person who raises herself above the mass and walks the untrodden path, setting trends for the future generation to follow. She belongs to the rarest of Woman Species bestowed with 3 B’s – Beauty, Brains and Big Heart!!!
I am very fortunate to get an opportunity to work with one of them ---- my enchanting Boss and Teacher. Brilliant, Beautiful, Bold, Benevolent, Gracious and Bounteous Teacher, she is a perfect blend of Indian values, modern thinking and focussed disciplined life. Her sword sharp memory, keen observation, endeavouring hard work, innovative ideas, rational thinking, clinical acumen, aesthetic assessment, spectacular oration and entrepreneurial skills continue to fascinate and inspire me. Her capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously has to be seen... to be believed! Her passion for fitness, interest in singing and elegant wardrobe makes her a woman of class and taste! On the other hand her extremely caring affection for pets Tasha, Tia, Rancho, to name a few I know of.... her  love, care and sympathy for all staff members and assistant Doctors reveals her tender heart of a Mother with limitless love for all.
Her invaluable inputs and guidance are channelizing my thoughts and energy in the right direction and I am elated to look up to her as my Ideal.
Initially sceptical of working under a Woman Boss after all the experiences from so many women, I profusely Thank GOD to have blessed me with the privilege of working for her under her guidance. To work with her is a heartfelt joyous experience.
I will always cherish knowing her from such close quarters!

Devlok on Earth by 2030 - Musings of my Mentor inked on paper through my mind!

Devlok, Swarg, Heaven, Paradise, Jannat, Wonderland, Magicland, …… Wait a minute!

What do these fascinating words remind us of ? It gives us a panoramic view of the abode of Devtas with immortal & luxurious life, beautiful voluptuous nymphettes, those mesmerizing dancers to entertain them or the breath holding beauty of surrounding ambience with no evidence of poverty, hunger, calamities or droughts!

Sounds like an airy-fairy dream, isn't it ? These words are carved in our minds as meagre imaginations which we can just think of and visualize in dreams. This evolution process has already started taking the shape of reality, we will witness a 'Devlok on Prithvi by Year 2030'

How? Lets see -

With the ever progressing technology, Scientists are rapidly bridging the gap between Imagination and Reality. They are vying with stupendous efforts in every field to bring a new Age Revolution. From an amazing list of fantastic future scenarios, some of them are already reality while some others are on the drawing boards of different Researchers.

Devlok refers to Devtas who lead a healthy immortal life. With modern aids and diagnostic methods the detection and treatment of diseases is becoming easier. Eradication of diseases has become possible as in case of Small pox and this has in turn increased the life span of human beings. Research in the field of medicines like Target Medicine Delivery system, disposable mini-digital camera pill, ampli-chip for medication response in the host, Robotics, Nanotechnology etc are shifting the curve of disease towards that of health and longevity.

With advances in Stem cell therapy, replacing the old, exhausted, diseased organs with new ones will be a routine, thus enhancing lives of people and pushing them from the fence of death back to the kingdom of disease free life. So unlimited life expectancy will be a dream come true!

With technological advances we have now developed hybrid qualities of seeds whose yield is far superior and is also unaffected by pests and insects and possessing better nutritional content. This has boosted the agricultural output which can feed the whole planet. Better still, It may be possible in near future to serve food in a capsulated form.

With Genetic engineering advances, it will be possible in near future to curb the disease at its root by removing those weak or disease-marking genes from the embryo’s DNA and enabling birth of disease resistant superchild with longer and healthy life. Maybe soon we may be able to make ‘designer babies’ such as one with Einsteins’ brains, Marilyn Monroes beauty, Charlie Chaplins potentials, Leonardo Da Vincis art skills, Birbal’s  wit and much more.

Devtas have splendid personalities and remain young forever with all the comforts and luxury at their will. With current cosmetic surgeries and aesthetic treatments available it is possible to change any Tom, Dick or Harry to a celestial personality. We are gearing up for a world cluttered with beautiful lasses and handsome hunks all over the globe! Today we guage a persons experiences and expertise in his field by the wrinkles and crowfeets on his face but those days are not far when we will have young looking dynamic Seniors who have established themselves in their fields by investing in many a years of diligent work. This will be another possibility with combined efforts of Stem cell therapy and Cosmetic surgery just like a serpent who casts off old skin scales to acquire a new toned up and radiant shiny skin.

Devtas have the gifted power of immediate communication and instant journey at their will. We have already succeeded in communication and options of teleporting (immediate transfer of human body to desired destination like as in famous TV showStar trek )  is being researched intensely. It may also be possible to fly individually in air like Super Man with the help of anti-gravity propeller device wore on the back or in our boots.

The speedy progress & Information age of Internet has escorted us into an Era of Globalization. With advances like Internet, Social Media, Mails, Fax, Webcam, Super computers, Video conferencing, Satellite Mapping of Earth, Global Positioning System(GPS)  and most latest Whatsapp, we can access any corner of the World, which is just at a distance of mouse click. No wonder why the most auspicious, knowledgeable and tactful Lord Ganesha possessing huge Body chose such a small tiny mouse as his Vaahan ;)

Devlok with marvelous regal constructions, magnificent architecture and luxurious palaces with no dearth of entertainment for pleasure of Devtas has always been our muse.

Todays architectural designing on the Planet have such state-of-the-art constructions which are like celestial abodes. For all this we have already invented Robots for our services. Cranes and Man operated Huge machines can do work equaling thousands of Egyptian slaves who worked continuously for building Pyramids of their Pharaohs! Tall skyscrapers with green technology have already been built in US wherein temperature can be adjusted according to individual’s requirements. Another such place is Dubai, the infrastructure and constructions there are truly  paradise on earth!

History has proved that men have mocked at their own imaginations which have become absolute realities in near future with technical prowess and intelligence. For example, People used to mock at the meager thoughts of flying in air, but with the advent of Airplane by Right Brothers, it has now become a way of life.

According to Predictions made by some scholars in past, Space flights will become available for public wherein even Artificial Intelligence reaches humans. Clarke wrote about Space elevators and today Space Agencies such as ISRO and NASA  have claimed that soon building a ribbon (made of carbon nanotube composites) upto the sky is not something impossible. These climbers can enable travelers reach the 240 miles height of International Space Station in less than 3 hrs in such a space climber. We may even have hybrid cars in near future like that of James Bond which can run on ground, fly like helicopters, swim like submarines and turn into Star Trek spaceships in space. Who knows even Space tours and travels might open up avenues and interchanging citizenships of different planets may become possible… just like Men In Black!   ;) With the progress of nanotechnology impossible may become possible.

Now a lot about Devtas, lets see some Rakshasas(Devils) too! The modern age Devils!

Cosmetic surgery may enable criminals to escape from Law and Order by taking advantage of science and creating their own dummies or clones. Deforestation to accommodate ever-growing population may lead to El-nino phenomenon and increased levels of pollution, as we are already feeling the heat of green House Effect and Ozone layer depletion.

The invention of Nuclear weapons has threatened World’s  peace and security. Nuclear war can destroy entire planet and lead to the extinction of human species. Even the advanced Robot  technology which in near future may produce Cyborgs (Hybrid humans with implanted computer parts and technology) and which is being pursued without any restrictions and regulations can become a huge threat to our survival as they will be more evolved than us in intelligence, physical power and technical precisions. It can spell a doom for us if not kept under check.

Nature has always endorsed valiant victory of God over Evil, Truth over Falsehood and Good over Bad!

We human beings have always been victorious in overcoming adversities with intelligence and systematic planning skills. So we hope that even if scientific advances bring in a gamut of problems, we will face them in a prise manner or prevent them with well planned review systems and approach roads having futuristic views in place. I am sure if not all, even if we achieve 75% of possibilities mentioned above by the year 2030, we will be living a life no less than Devtas and will surely be blessed with Devlok on Earth by 2030!

Tribute to the Teachers in my Life!

II Tvame va Mata cha Pita Tvame va, Tvame va Bandhu cha Sakha Tvame va,
Tvame va Vidya, Dravinam Tvame va, Tvame va Sarvam, Mam Deva Deva II

Everytime I hear this while watching Chandragupta Maurya serial on COLORS channel, a chill runs down my spine. As if it is so familiar to my subconscious, my soul knows exactly what it means. Its so true that life becomes meaningful with a proper guide or teacher, to show you the way out of life’s puzzles, to raise your spirits when failures try to pull you down, encourage you to give your best performance and enlighten you with knowledge. If parents give us birth physically, it is the Teacher who gives birth to our aptitude and persona.

We are a bundle of knowledge and experiences gathered from so many teachers in our lives, not just academic teachers, but also parents, siblings, friends, spiritual teachers, professional guides, books and others.Of course I also remember and remain grateful to Teachers who have taught me routine chores of life; ones that I remember like cooking, driving, computers and many more. Even a stranger on streets from whom I pick up some good  is my Teacher and I want to mention all of them in my thanksgiving for making me what I am today!

And then there are also those Teachers – the other kinds whose bitter experiences gave me an insight into the darker side of life. For instance, the ones I trusted and got deceived by, taught me to be precautious, alert and beware of chameleons. In a way, they also made me realise the importance of  kind Teachers in my Life!

In chronological order after my birth, my first Guru are my Parents who taught me to speak, to walk on my feet in childhood. As I grew they spent for my education wholeheartedly at a time when friends and relatives would try dissuading them from spending on me, a Hindu daughter who is supposed to marry and go away as per the traditions. They are the ones who love unconditionally! Thankyou God Almighty for being present in my life as my Parents !

After my Parents my next Guru is my maternal Grandmother Shantaben Chandulal Shah who took care of me in my childhood... She was my foster Mother and she sowed the seeds of righteousness from the time my mind was tender and raw. She would engage me in religious teachings of Jainism and take us daily to temple for doing Pooja. A very beautiful and straighforward lady of high self respect with kind and forgiving heart, the vacuum created by her loss cannot be refilled ever ... Her loss made me come in touch with Vipassana... She guided me while she was alive and even after walking into the other side of the world!

A special memory of one of the very few and first persons to have recognised my potentials and encouraged me morally was Shri Vishnuprasad Sharma, Father of my Moms friend. We used to call him Dadaji fondly as he was truly a wellwishing Elder for our family. We still remember the loving affection in his eyes and warmth in his heart for our family! Forever grateful to him...

At Spiritual level, my first Guru is Shri Sadguru Sai Baba. I still remember that day when I prayed to HIM at Shirdi from the deepest of my heart to guide me into living a life of dignity and integrity, to make me capable of differentiating between the right and the wrong, to always guide me on the right path and discourage any deviations towards the wrong step, if any. HE blessed me, answered my prayers and still keeps doing so. I always feel HIS unseen presence with me!

Next in order is my Family's Mentor, Emeritus Director Professor Dr K. C. Mohanty, who introduced me to the fundamentals of spirituality- the love and devotion to work for mankind. A man of outstanding integrity he provides pro-bono services to the poor, unconditional services to the society, works for the betterment of country affairs and environment. He is a Social reformer working ceaselessly to reform lives of the backward and  the deprived, a dedicated educationalist giving away every bit of his knowledge, guidance and motivation to every student and a pioneer in his field giving many original guidelines and medicine molecules to medical fraternity through innumerable researches. To sum up in few words he is a man of his words, self-made, strict disciplinarian, omniscient, a prolific orator with infallible judgement, a philosopher continuously churning futuristic thoughts from his grey matter and always oozing with positive spirits. He is a Nationalist by conviction “to the last drop of my blood” in his own words!  Lots to learn from Him! He continues to inspire me to do my level best and conform upto his expectations.

After Him, it is Shri Premji Savla Guruji, who is Chief Acharya and Head in-charge of Dhammagiri Vipassana Centre (Headquarters of Vipassana Meditation Centres across the world). It was a co-incidental meet with him when I was in mental turbulence. He could read through my mind and brought my stormy mind in stability. I am very fortunate that he accepted me as his pupil from then and there. He introduced me to the depths of Vipassana and helped me to understand better the virtue of equanimity, impermanence of everything under the sun and encourages to work for suffering world. Bearing an immensely radiating Aura, his presence makes us light up with utmost peace, tranquillity and positivity, celebrating existence. I learnt the art of living and leaving (worldly attachments) in real sense by practicing Vipassana which reinforces ‘Memento Mori’- Remember your mortality!

A person who can guide you in hard times is like a sail to your boat in times of storms.. Such a person's kind gesture is invaluable and precious. And so is Shri Date Guruji, an extraordinarily blessed soul who reads Aura - the electromagnetic radiations from physical bodies of people and guides them. Grateful to have learnt many things from him and fortunate to have met him in this lifetime. God bless my school friend Poonam who intoduced me to him.

The guidance and blessings of all these Teachers freed me from the dungeons of despair and depression at a point when I was about to breakdown. They revived my self confidence to get back on my feet and win back my self respect.

It is definitely a task for the Teacher to mould the soft clayed minds of pupil with utmost care and channelize their energies in the right direction. Just like a potter has to shape up the earthern pots and bake them in heat slowly without breaking, so it can provide cool water. A very meaningful truth I read somewhere - “Just as the Sun is valued not only for its intrinsic radiance but also for its ability to illuminate the world, so the brilliance of a Teacher is determined not only by the clarity of His teachings  but also by His ability to illuminate those who come to Him for refuge and make them luminaries in their own right!”

I was, am and will always remain grateful to all these Patriarchs of  my wisdom (whatever little bit I collected from them) who have nurtured the seed of uprightness and values in my mind, protected the sapling from the wilderness of world which is headed on its way to growing into a mature tree. The real test would lie in my ability to follow the footsteps of my Teachers and pass on and disseminate the knowledge to those who need and appreciate it!
